Metropolitan Club is established in 1989
The Metropolitan Club was established in April 1989,by the AIS (IAS,IPS & IFS) officers who had built their houses in the Metropolitan Housing layout. Starting small, the club now has a good building, located amist an abundance of greenery. As the club added on the facilities for its members, the membership, which was initially restricted to AIS, was thrown open to state government officers, and thereafter to private persons too. Currently the membership is around 200, including all categories.
I learnt my first swimming lessons here. Very patient teachers. No certificate or fancy names associated with it but good place to start off swimming with. 25m pool. Max is 6ft depth.
Visited the place few months back for a short swim. The best place to chill.
